Dear Friends:

During Morning Worship on Thursday (7/24), the chairman announced that the religious group of Jehovah's Witnesses has been legally recognized by the Pakistani government. This marks the end of two years of collaboration between the Pakistani government and the Legal Dept. What makes this even more outstanding is that 96% of the population are Islamic. Developments such as these reflect Jehovah's keen interest in the preaching work's worldwide progression.

As a point of interest, July 26, 1997, marks the 66th anniversary of the Columbus, Ohio, convention at which the name Jehovah's Witnesses was adopted by resolution. Enjoy your week of service, friends.
